WHAT THIS IS:
I like to read. Primarily I focus on history and philosophy, with some speculative (sci-fi) fiction thrown in to give my brain a break. Occasionally I run across a passage that gives one pause, eliciting a “hmmm”. That’s what this page is about: the books I’m reading and those sections that make me go “hmmm”.
It’s not a book-review site per se (though I’m sure you’ll get my opinion and overall impression of the work). In addition, I will add comments on the books I’m reading as I go instead of waiting to finish them first. This is because: 1)Having to plow back through a book note by note takes a long time, and 2) I’m generally reading 3 or 4 books at a time (one at the office, two in the den, one at bed-time).
