Schnell Post: Our Aircraft Carriers, Their Profit

I’m not a geopolitical strategist, or a military expert. But given our whole west coast touches the Pacific Ocean, we have a state (Hawaii) and several territories in the Pacific Ocean, and many of our allies are completely surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, not having ONE carrier-group on station in the Pacific seems really, really stupid.

Who the hell is in charge? How did this even look good on paper?

This did not happen overnight. Here are some fun and recent headlines:

Once again our Israeli controlled Department of Defense lap-poodles are diminishing our own defense, interests, and wealth to prop up a country quite capable of taking care of itself and which, with our help, is guilty of war crimes.

How much tax-payer wealth are we talking about? It is estimated that ONE aircraft carrier, including the attached air-wing (but NOT including the auxiliary support vessels) costs $6 Million to $8 Million … PER DAY.

Sure hope nothing happens in the Pacific while we’re giving Israel a hand…job.

Of course, it’s more than just Israeli influence in Washington.

Here’s another fun fact: In 2022, the seven countries in the Persian Gulf produced about 32% of total world crude oil, and they held about 49% of world proved crude oil reserves at the start of 2021.

The reason anyone even remotely cares about the Middle East is oil and protecting the stock share-prices of the companies that do business there.

As of 2023:

  • ExxonMobile: CEO-Darren Woods: salary $1.6 million, bonus $3.1 million, stock awards: $13.5 million
  • Chevron: CEO-Michael Wirth: salary $1.65 million, options $3.8 million, stock awards: $12.2 million
  • Shell: CEO-Wael Sawan: salary $1.72 million. Other compensation and stock awards: unknown
  • BP: CEO-Bernard Looney: salary 1.62 million. Stock awards: $12 million

In short, our tax dollars are being used to send our military to a region to protect the money-making machine for an elite few while simultaneously undermining our own national defense.

    This is not the first time something like this has happened. In 1941, the US Navy were stopping Japanese ships on the high seas and forcing them to submit to searches for weapons. These weapons were confiscated (stolen) when found. Later that year, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.

    Here are some facts that most people are unaware of. Most of the fleet stationed at Pearl Harbor were ordered to sea for maneuvers. The most valuable ship is the aircraft carrier. The least valuable is the battle ship. All aircraft carriers but one went on the maneuvers. All battleships but one stayed in port. When the Japanese attacked, most of the ships lost were the least valuable. Also, FDR himself personally ordered that all planes stationed on the ground be parked in a circular pattern. These planes did not have reverse gears, so it was a bitch getting them into and out of that pattern. That’s why not a single American plane got off the ground.

    When we declared war on Japan the next day, the following day Hitler declared war on us. That was because of the tripartite agreement signed by Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo. If some country declared war on one of the three, the other two would declare war on the aggressor. Hitler was honor bound to declare war on us because of this agreement. American Jews were pressuring FDR to do something about Hitler, but most Americans didn’t want to get involved – especially if it was to save Jews. FDR needed a backdoor into the war in Europe so Hitler was tricked into declaring war on the US.

    Is there some dark reason why the Pacific has been left undefended? Have the Democrats got something sinister in the works? I have no proof at all, but you can’t rule out the possibility. The best thing we can do right now is to remain vigilant, and not be taken in by any government propaganda.

      Agreed. It’s getting hard to tell malfeasance from incompetence at this point. It’s hoped we will have a carrier-group rebased in Japan by the end of September, but… October surprise anyone? Awfully nice of China not to take advantage of the situation, yet. As for Pearl Harbor… another malfeasance vs incompetence question, but in that case I lean toward the former. There are just too many inconsistencies. Like you said, FDR was desperate to help Churchill and struggled to find a way. It’s worth noting On Nov. 26, 1941, Secretary of War Stimson wrote in his diary, “The question was how we should maneuver them into firing the first shot without allowing too much danger to ourselves.” Two weeks later the carriers just happened to be at sea? Warnings were ignored. Planes were parked in the most vulnerable way possible. The Navy had 80 PBY Catalina’s available, but they were all reserved for the Philippines and Marshall Islands: NONE were used to patrol the approaches to Pearl Harbor, home of the Pacific Fleet. Tell me that makes sense. Etc.

      As for Germany’s declaration of War- it would have been great if Hitler had decided not to do that and left Roosevelt flapping in the wind (and I would have loved to have read about Churchill blowing a gasket). But I understand why he did: Supporting Japan helped tie down British troops and supplies in East Asia. Plus, as was hoped, if Japan could be convinced to open a second front against the Soviet Union… it would have been game over. Alas, the Japanese balked- and the rest is history. In addition, the US and Germany were all-but-in a shooting war anyway in the Atlantic, and declaring war took the gloves off the U-Boats (cf. Operation Paukenschlag (“Operation Drumbeat”)).
