Apologies for the delay in posting this week. The winter blast took its toll and we’re only now crawling out of our igloos.
Onward. Today is the last day of the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. A whole book could be written on the annual shenanigans that happen in Davos. This post will just hit a few highlights and point some directions for possible further inquiry if you are interested.
What is the WEF? As near as I can tell (lack of transparency is one of the criticisms of the WEF), it is a private organization, funded by private corporations, who gather each year to explore the best way to funnel money from governments and their tax-paying constituents to these private corporations. They do this by finding a “problem” (globalclimatewarmingchange®, LGBTQ-AMNOP issues, war, the inconvenience of national borders, etc), setting up a salaried committee to explore the problem, and demanding funding from various other corporations and national governments to solve the “problem”. Typically they funnel money from 1st world countries to some sink-hole in a 3rd world country where regardless of the amount of money spent, the problem never quite gets solved. Keep in mind, that every time money moves from Point A to Point B, an intermediary is involved who makes money.
Who are some of the corporations that sponsor and fund the WEF grift? (full list here):
- Adobe
- AIG
- Amazon
- Anheuser-Busch
- Apple
- Blackrock
- Bloomberg
- Citi
- Dell
- Edward Jones
- ExxonMobil
- Hewlett Packard
- HSBC
- IBM
- Kaiser Permanente
- Lockheed Martin
- Meta (Facebook)
- Microsoft
- Moderna
- NBC Universal
- New York Times
- Pfizer
- Shell
- Stock Exchanges (NYSE, Nasdaq, S&P)
- The Coca-Cola Company
- Toyota
- Uber
- UPS
- Volkswagen Group
- Walmart
- Zoom
One of the things you notice when you look at the full list of WEF sponsors, they typically fall into a couple of groups (which we’ll call the usual cast of characters): Big pharma, Big Tech, Big oil, Big insurance/finance, and Big defense contractors. In other words, global corporations who see the people of the world as their cash-cows and minions, and have no regard for culture, history, race, rights, or national sovereignty. These are the people your government is giving your tax money to.
Over the course of four days, various world “leaders” take the stage and highlight their pet problems and ask for money. Recently, there has been a shift (slightly) in rhetoric away from unfettered capitalism toward “socialism”. I put socialism in quotes because their version of socialism is more akin to communism than true socialism, and being a National Socialist myself, I get a bit bothered when people pollute socialist ideals with communism, to say nothing of altogether discounting the importance of nationalism.
But occasionally some interesting comments get spoken. For example, the World Bank was in attendance. I found this interesting (in a sort of “I think I might throw-up” way):
“45% of World Bank financing will go towards climate efforts. In addition, the Bank has also promised to connect 100 million people in Africa to renewable power by 2030, address a misalignment in funding to reduce methane emissions, help small nations absorb the cost of climate catastrophes, and ensure the benefits from carbon markets are felt by communities on the ground. “
Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank, Davos 2024
Added bonus: the largest shareholder and member with the most voting power in the World Bank is the United States.
And of course the UN was there. The Secretary General made an interesting comment (oddly, highlighting income inequality to some of the richest people in the world):
“Oxfam reports that the world’s five richest men have more than doubled their fortunes since 2020 – at a rate of $14 million US dollars per hour.”
– UN Secretary-General António Guterre, Davos 2024
$14 Million per hour? Who are these people? Oh:
Name | Net Worth |
Elon Musk | $245,000,000,000 |
Bernard Arnault: | $191,000,000,000 |
Jeff Bezos: | $167,000,000,000 |
Larry Ellison: | $145,000,000,000 |
Warren Buffett: | $119,000,000,000 |
Of course, after a hard day of preaching about how the needs of the unwashed masses can be met if only more money were moved to their pet-project of the day, it’s time to relax.
A hypocritical money-grab under the false label of “socialism”. To learn about REAL National Socialism visit the ANP.
